Fall Spiced Ice Toddy

(Makes 2 Drinks)

 

Take the comfort of fall spices and blend them with the feeling of summer refreshment for a drink that’s perfect for a long walk on a warm autumn day.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz. brewed Starbucks® Breakfast Blend®

  • 6 whole cloves

  • 4 allspice berries

  • 3 cinnamon sticks (3 inches each), divided

  • 1/4 tsp. grated nutmeg

  • 2 cups ice cubes

  • 2 orange slices

Directions

  1. Pour hot coffee into small saucepan set over medium heat; add cloves, allspice berries, 1 cinnamon stick and nutmeg. Bring to simmer; cover and remove from heat.

  2. Let stand until room temperature. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or up to 12 hours (spice flavour will become more intense the longer it chills).

  3. Strain and discard solids. Fill two tall glasses with ice; pour chilled coffee over ice. Garnish each glass with cinnamon stick and orange slice.

  4. Serve and enjoy!

Tip: Whole spices can be found at most bulk food stores, allowing you to buy as much as needed.
