Dark & Stormy Eggnog Latte
(Makes 2 Drinks)
Spiked with rum and fresh ginger, this coffee latte makes a wonderful cocktail that will spread lots of good holiday cheer.
2 cups (500 mL) brewed Starbucks® Holiday Blend
1 1/2 cups (375 mL) eggnog
4 tsp (20 mL) finely grated fresh ginger
2 oz (60 mL) dark rum
1/2 cup (125 mL) whipped cream
Pinch ground ginger
1. In saucepan set over medium-low heat, heat eggnog and ginger, stirring often, for 3 to 5 minutes or until steaming. Strain through fine sieve; whisk with frother or hand blender until frothy.
2. Divide brewed coffee and rum between 2 large mugs. Pour frothed eggnog mixture over coffee; top with whipped cream. Garnish with ginger.
• Alternatively, microwave eggnog and ginger on High in microwave-safe measuring cup for 60 to 90 seconds, stirring every 30 seconds, or until steaming.
• Add a few dashes of bitters if desired.
